Leaders establish opportunities for families to be co-creators in the development of increasingly effective technology programs and services that lead to a balanced, inclusive technology ecosystem. Leaders ensure that families and community members are partners in all phases of development and implementation.
Meaningful family involvement is fostered when students, parents, and families are at the center of the district’s technology systems. Including parents in opportunities to learn about assistive technologies and educational technologies enables easy entry and access to ongoing processes. Leaders build feedback loops that determine the extent to which families feel engaged and use data to improve communication and participation.
