Description

Struggling with systemic barriers that impact learner engagement? Discover a framework of evidence-based practices supported by practical resources co-developed by a cohort of diverse school districts from across the country. Learn how to engage in effective conversations to build bridges across EdTech, IT and AT to develop inclusive digital learning opportunities for all students including those with disabilities. Through collaboration and interactive activities, experience how the Center on Inclusive Technology & Education Systems (CITES) framework can empower systems change. Intentional planning to include assistive technologies and accessible materials is essential to building inclusive technology systems. When assistive technology and accessible materials are readily available in the environment for students who require them, teachers are able to meet the needs of the natural variability in the classroom. Presenters will guide you in designing an action plan based on self-assessments and your learning goals. Join in teams or as an individual to build a collective understanding of where you are, and where you want to go in your journey to build inclusive technology and education systems.
