Description
Explore research based leadership strategies to drive change that creates coordinated, inclusive effective technology systems. Delve into practical tools and resources developed with partner districts and based on implementation science via the Center on Inclusive Technology & Education Systems (CITES). The CITES Framework supports district leaders in creating and sustaining an ecosystem, where assistive technology (AT), educational technology (EdTech), and informational technology (IT) work collaboratively to develop and sustain inclusive practices. CITES leverages Active Implementation Frameworks (AIF) to align with sustained and scalable systems change tools to ensure alignment with state-adopted frameworks, such as Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and state accountability systems. Leadership tips and tools will be shared so that district and school leaders can turnkey and implement them immediately. The leadership self-assessment and professional learning kits will give participants a chance to reflect and consider resources to drive change.
Key Take Aways:
- The participants will identify the inclusive leadership practices and share how they are aligned to current accountability systems.
- Participants will review the leadership self-assessment and consider how to implement it with their district teams.
- Participants will review an overview of accessibility and assistive technology and share how some features may be leveraged in their districts.
